Alessandro Baticci, flute
When considering a series of concerts dedicated to Salvatore Sciarrino, one cannot forget the flute, a favorite instrument of his for which he has written sixteen compositions. These pieces were often created during collaborations with talented flute players— most notably Roberto Fabbriciani. The five compositions that Alessandro Baticci will perform were produced in the last 30 years, the last being Il Pomeriggio di un Allarme al Parcheggio, which was written in 2015 and uses a flute with a mobile head.
