In 1913, at the eve of the First World War, the Belgian film conductor Alfred Machin realized Maudite soit la guerre, a film condemning the war, which shows daily life in both imaginary states, and war scenes. Miguel Farías and Artur Akshelyan have written the music which will be performed along with the silent film: the first taking up the “civil” scenes, the second the military scenes.
The scores written by the two composers interchange during the whole film.
