This is the second concert in the Rondo 2017 season that is centered on the theme of migration. The two new compositions by Daniela Terranova and Roberto Andreoni, with text written by elementary school children on the theme of migration, are interpreted by Divertimento Ensemble and the children that have attended the musical workshop Giocare la Musica for eight months. Three compositions precede the children’s performance: The edges are no longer parallel, for piano and electronics of Frank Bedrossian, Cantor Dust written in 2013 by our composer in residence Zeno Baldi, and one of the three winning compositions of the AFAM competition. The other two winning pieces have already been performed during the Rondo 2017 season. Therefore, at the end of this concert, the public can vote online for the AFAM composer they prefer. The most beloved composer will be commissioned by Divertimento Ensemble to write a new work for the next year.
