** composition selected by AFAM competition
This concert is entirely dedicated to Italian composers. Gesualdo senza parole completes the tribute that Divertimento Ensemble has offered to Salvatore Sciarrino with four concerts at the Museo del Novecento. For years, the audience of Rondò has been involved in selecting one of the three winning composers of the AFAM competition (reserved for Italian conservatory students) to commission a new work for the next year. This year the three pieces will be performed in three different concerts (the next will be on May 3rd and 21st) and online voting will take place after the performance of the last piece; the audience can vote if they are registered to do so and have listened to all the pieces— at least one of them live. The others can be found on the Divertimento Ensemble’s website. The program will end with Bird’s Fractal Voice by Marco Di Bari and La sabbia del tempo by Fausto Romitelli.
